Medicine is undergoing a profound transformation – particularly in emergency and intensive care medicine, where every second counts. Miniaturized MedTech solutions – from wearable sensors and mobile diagnostics to intelligent systems – enable more precise diagnoses, continuous monitoring, and more efficient treatment.

Building on these developments, the COMPAMED Innovation Forum 2026 will focus on “Miniaturized MedTech for Maximum Impact: Innovations for Emergency and Intensive Care.” Organized by the IVAM Microtechnology Association in cooperation with Messe Düsseldorf, the online event will take place on May 21, 2026, from 3:00 to 5:30 PM (CEST). It will explore current trends, emerging technologies, and future perspectives shaping critical care.

The forum is part of COMPAMED, the leading international trade fair for the medical technology supply sector, held alongside MEDICA in Düsseldorf.

The session is chaired by Jens Ebnet, M.D., M.Sc., D.E.S.A. He will also give two talks: “What do Users Expect from Medical Technology?” and “Next-Generation Vascular Access.”
